The Frights Interview: July 27th, 2016
Last night I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the California surf-punk band, The Frights before their show at 1904 Music Hall. Their sophomore LP entitled “You Are Going to Hate This” is a punchy musical roller coaster, with erratic rhythms and lyrical themes that deal with all the sorrows and excitement of growing up. Their live performance was absolutely fantastic, the songs that I grew to love on their LP were even more electric and powerful when heard live. When I spoke with The Frights, they touched on the ideas behind the album and the themes that are explored within it. We also talked about their inspiration, Gordon Ramsey.
