Catching A Wave: Hosted by James Riley // mondays at 11am

The term “old soul” has been used more often than not to describe James Riley. His mom’s Elvis albums and movies like American Graffiti and Buddy Holly Story helped shape his musical tastes as a kid growing up in Louisville, KY in the 70’s that continue to this day. Riley Got a BA degree in Communication Arts at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY where he took an active role at WRVG on campus. He’s been a fixture in the radio promotions scene since 1993 having worked for a variety of Christian record companies. People were constantly asking for him to bring Catching A Wave Back and he finally jumped back on the surfboard to bring the best! His wife Beth has a weekly segment on the show called “Surf’s Up: Beth’s Beach Boys Break” where you can hear a deep track from America’s band. Plus, more segments like “Wheel Of Fun, Fun, Fun,” Catching A Wave Time Machine and the Jammin’ James Jukebox selection.

A lot of people might say The Doc G Show is a waste of time… and those people are correct. But, Ben “Doc G” Gordon, and his co-host Mike Charrette are experts at wasting time. Doc G started this show for one reason: he likes to talk. If you like to listen, you’re a perfect match! Every week, the Doc fills 2 hours covering pop-culture, news, entertainment, music, sports, and an interview with a special guest. C’mon, it’s not like you had anything better to do! Nest News is a live weekly show centered around UNF specific events, interests, and more! Different anchors from Spinnaker TV host the show each week, and the sports editor gives a weekly update about UNF sports. Nest News streams every Friday at 3 pm on the Spinnaker TV YouTube channel.

School of Music Broadcasting: Hosted by Spinnaker Radio // Sundays at 11am

In collaboration with the UNF School of Music, this feature hour broadcasts live performances by various UNF music ensembles. Updated every month, you will hear diverse genres including jazz, classical, electronic and more performed by UNF’s music students. Relax on Sundays at 11:00am and listen to featured selections played by great musicians!

Talon Talk: Hosted by UNF Athletics // Tuesdays at 5pm

World Music Hour: Hosted by Skylar Close and the LLC // Saturdays at 11am

WMH is a collaboration between Spinnaker Radio’s Program Director and UNF’s Literatures, Languages, and Cultures Department aimed at promoting multilingual inclusion at Spinnaker. Programming includes music spanning multiple genres, as well as multiple languages, such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, Kreyol, and more!
