In this episode of On The Couch, Spinnaker radio interviews the band, Flipturn! They are a Gainesville/Jacksonville local band (with a special love for Gainesville) with a fresh rock sound. Did we mention…they’re super young!! With one member still in high school and the others just beginning college at UF and UNF, these guys have been very successful for their age. From Gainesville Battle of the Bands victory to playing shows at the High Dive, to the Spinnaker Radio Couch! Here they are, Flipturn!

Daily Discovery: Too True

Dum Dum Girls’ excellent 2012 EP End of Daze hit all the right notes thanks to its atmospheric blend of indie-pop and garage-rock. Their newest album, Too True, delves heavily into goth-rock. This territory is familiar to the band, yet never exploited by them this much.
